This past weekend was to be a two day show starting at Waco on Friday night then on to Abilene on Saturday. But as it turned out with all the rain in the area all the race tracks called off there shows accept Waco so off we went.
When we arrived at the Heart Of Texas Speedway it had just stopped raining. There were about 40 cars that made it to the race. The pits were a mess but the track looked good. We were lucky not to get stuck pulling in as some rigs had to be pulled in.
Jessica drew in for us and her luck has not been to good lately and we started last in the 3rd heat race. The track looked good as we headed out for our heat race and we felt we had a good set up on the car.
At the drop of the green flag we took off and we banged wheels with one of our buddies and we went off into the infield and he headed off to the top of the track. We both stayed going but the pack was way out in front of us and the track was lock down fast so we ended up last just were we started.
That put us last in the B feature. We made a few changes to the car in hopes of getting into the top 3 as we headed back out to the track. At the drop of the flag we took off and were moving forward a little at a time yet were only able to get up to 5th by the time the checkered flag flew.
Our night was done but we did not tear up anything on the car and there was a lot of wrecks on the track by the time the night was done.
As always we want to say thank you to all our friends and fans that stopped by to say hi and ask that you please support our great sponsors so we can put on a show for all the racing fans.
