Race Night: Saturday June 7, 2008
Hey everyone,
Another hot and windy Saturday night in Kennedale TX out at Cowtown Speedway. We
actually weren't the first ones to arrive in the pits this time. I guess the wind gave them the
AC they wanted. This week it was my moms turn at drawing the pill for my starting spot in
the heat race. She drew number 55.
That had us starting second row inside in the heat. The track was heavy and fast again this
week. When we took the green flag I was able to drive to the bottom of turn one got around
one of our competitors moving us into second. We were a little faster than the leader but
there was no way we could make a clean pass on him, so we settled in for 2nd for the rest
of the heat race.
When it was time for the A feature we started third place for the second time in the night.
The track was dry up top and still pretty heavy on the bottom. When the green flag dropped
the outside line took off at the start putting us in fourth position. But by the second lap we
worked our way back up to third. George White and I battled for the third position most of
the race, George drove us very clean and I was able to keep the 3rd spot till the checkered
flag.
Over all we had a great night. The team & I want to thank all the fans that stopped by to say
hi and ask that you support our great sponsors that make it possible for us to put on a
show for such great fans every night.
