Race Night: Friday July 25, 2008
We headed out to Kennedale, TX for ASCS. Hoping we would have the same kind of luck we
did the last time we were there. Arriving at the track around 4 pm it was very hot. Later on
though we had a nice breeze to cool us off. Mom drew me #49 in the pill.
That started us last in the heat. The track looked heavy for the heat. With two cautions and
three restarts we drove a straight through race after that. I took the checkered at second.
The passing points put us in the drawing for the top 8 for the A. And I drew #2 starting us
on the outside poll. By the time the green flag dropped I had the lead. Lapping cars on the
four lap. Holding the lead until the 13th lap, then I went to pass another lap car and we
tangled up going into turn 4. I was lucky not flip but we did end up on our side with some
damage to the point we were done for the night of what could have been a win. (see below)
Were looking forward to tonights race at Cowtown Speedway.
